New pages at the click of a button

In addition to the WYSIWYG interface Byond users can use the integrated Content Manager to intuitively navigate through the site.

New pages can be added or removed at the click of a button and existing pages edited simply by clicking on the page title.

Separation of Content and Presentation

To ensure that your website presentation styles remain consistent and to facilitate the publication of content to multiple formats, Byond Online Publisher separates content from the presentation layer.

Users are simply required to create copy with the presentation layer applied by the system at the point of review or publication.

Re Using Content

To prevent unnecessary work, a single page can be used in different contexts or delivered to different groups.  Essentially the style and structure of the page can be cloned to save time assisting with making content management and the creation of product, application or service-specific minisites simpler.

HTML (or other technical knowledge) is also not required when creating pages so Non Technical users can use the CMS with ease.

Content Search and Replace

In addition to the Special Content feature detailed above, Byond Online Publisher also contains a search and replace facility to enable wholesale changes of content as required (i.e. change of product name, branch address). 

The system also provides a centralised mechanism for tracking and fixing broken links across the site. As with the Special Content feature, these facilities significantly reduce the time required to update the website and help to ensure the accuracy of information contained within.

Future Publish / Unpublish

Byond Online Publisher provides forward publishing and un-publishing of page content using a simple calendar/drop down driven interface located on each page. 

Content changes can be selected to go live or be replaced on any given day on any given hour.

Special Content

Our Special Content feature enables data (such as interest rates) to be recorded in the system once and referenced throughout the site.  It significantly reduces the amount of time required to update the website.

In addition, use of the Special Content feature throughout the site ensures that pages are not missed during the editing process ensuring the accuracy of information and significantly improving compliance confidence. 

Metadata Creation

Capturing metadata (creator, subject, keywords, etc) is critical when managing a large content repository.  

Byond Online Publisher gives the power of basic SEO to users. Each page can be optimised for search engine indexes by completing the ‘Meta Info’ section as each page is created.

What you see is what you get (WYSIWYG)

Byond structures page content as per the public website to enable easy navigation and editing of pages, hence the acronym WYSIWYG.  Byond uses the WYSIWYG interface to enable website editing at the click of a button, users merely click on the edit pencil at the top of the webpage to start editing.  Our WYSIWYG interface uses an icon design similar to that of the Microsoft office toolset, therefore many of the editing functions are immediately understood by PC users and require little or no explanation.

User-friendly and seamless access

Byond creates a seamless environment for content creation via a simple browser-based interface.  Users simply log in through their website and they have full access to a range of features to publish page content.

Multi-User Authoring

Byond Online Publisher allows for an unlimited number of users; therefore features which prevent content clashing are vitally important. Byond Online Publisher includes a page ‘lock out’ facility whereby pages in the process of being edited will be locked out to other users until the editing process is complete. 

Digital Asset Management

Authors are able to easily upload images and files and create hyperlinks (between pages, to documents or external websites).  These functions are included within the WYSIWYG and represented by logical icons so that content authors can access these functions at the click of a button. Digital assets such as .pdfs, text files, images, movies, etc can be managed through simple asset management windows. In order to increase efficiency, the system also includes a bulk upload capability.

Multi-section Homepage

A product-focus approach is common for diverse banking institutions however opportunities exist to modify this normal approach and to embellish your site with a range of user-centric content presented in ways that directly communicate with viewers, engaging them in informative and entertaining ways. A multi-section homepage sliding mechanism can be implemented for you which presents custom images and navigation for each section.

Interest rate information is one of the key pieces of information commonly searched for on financial services websites. This Interest Rate Module showcases a small number of key product interest rates on the home page, highlighting those rates that are most attractive.  The module accommodates a range of interest rates by periodically revealing new rates with a sliding effect.

Multimedia Integration

Linking above-the-line promotions to a website can extend and reinforce campaign objectives. In order to mitigate the risks associated with embedding third- party video players/links, Brighton sanitises video files, serves the file from a dedicated server and presents them through a custom-built video player.

Brighton Consulting’s mobile website has been specifically designed to operate on the small screens of modern mobile phones. It works in conjunction with a client’s main public website and ensures essential information is easily accessible.  Users are automatically diverted to the Mobile Website when accessing your URL via a mobile device.
